Z’s Story
Z has lived two distinct lives.
In the first, she was isolated by a severe cognitive disability and bullied. Now, after growing up and getting the support she needs, Z is confident, courageous, and admired. When she’s not making her iconic art, she works for the Chicago Zoological Society at Brookfield Zoo and United Airlines. She also serves as a Global Messenger and Board Member at Special Olympics Illinois and is seen as a mentor, advocate, and leader of her community.
Artisan. Motivational Speaker. Animal Lover. Athlete. Champion. Leader. Friend. Zinyra Ross can be described in a million ways. Yet if you ask by what to call her, she’ll tell you: “Just Z.”
By embracing what makes her different, Z uses the gifts and talents she has discovered to create her future with kindness, creativity, and positivity. In doing so, she inspires others to follow their own dreams.
